I’m a teacher and Charley Pride thanks for the memories 1934-2020 signature shirt a parent and you can clearly see regressions in some children, including my own. Some are obvious and some are much more subtle. Don’t forget that often when children face uncertainty and trauma they regress, I’ve seen this first hand in my daughter when our family went through a traumatic time. By July you could have a decent basic conversion with him, now he’s exactly where his peers are at and in a few areas exceeding expectations! Lockdown gave us as a family a much more laid back easier life, my husband and I have worked throughout lockdown but at much reduced hours, but this gave us chance to spend so much more quality time with our children and they’ve all flourished! I absolutely see this as a blessing in disguise! Yes, it is on the parents, but blaming them doesn’t help the kids. A child with a parent who can’t teach them is one that a decent, civilized society should be happy to support where the parents cannot, or do not. So we need to find ways to do that. This has nothing to do with lockdown… just parents being lazy. It is a parent’s duty to give their children the skills to do basic things in life. Interacting with them, being good models themselves is paramount. Schools are they to learn about knowledge.

We are their parents, Charley Pride thanks for the memories 1934-2020 signature shirt teaching them is something that comes with being a parent. I had no idea until recently just how many people depend on the school to teach them everything. Don’t blame the schools for the parents’ failings. If your kid has forgotten how to use a knife and fork or has regressed to nappies, I’d suggest looking in the mirror.YOU are responsible for your children’s education. Get a grip. A lot of people are missing the point here. It’s not always because of a lack of parental guidance.
Disruptions in a child’s life can cause regressive behaviour, even with established skills and behaviour; a sudden loss of their social life and a general sense of normality is going to do that. Lockdown has caused huge disruption to so many children. Everything they’ve known has suddenly and dramatically changed, with people around them talking about this scary virus. Of course, kids are going to regress. It quite frankly scares me that so many people, parents included don’t understand this basic part of child development.
