Such an awesome truly decent individual, clearly he won’t stop until every child is given the same basic opportunities. A real inspiration, his mum must be so proud of him. And a lot of the Some days I amaze myself other days I put laundry in the over shirt time if kids don’t have books it’s because the parents don’t see the value in books so probably don’t care about taking their children to a library. All kids deserve to have the ability to read and enjoy the escape it brings but not all kids have that choice so good for them to use their position of power to help. This is wonderful and he has my utmost respect. I wish he’d mentioned libraries as a source of reading material though.
They exist because books aren’t in everyone’s budget. I wish he’d met a kind librarian as a kid but glad he’s discovered the joys of reading later in life. Oh dear, it feels like he’s just maximizing his current profile. Libraries have always been open for children to borrow books and enjoy reading. Still are, when Covid doesn’t stop us from going to the library. I always took my children to the local library, and they have been keen readers ever since, as am I.
