Brilliant! Lovely to Tony Gonsolin Cat Paws shirt see such a happy cat. We have had three cats that loved to walk on a lead. Two of them went camping and caravanning with us! If you start early as kittens they soon get the hang of it! We walk our little mate Obi cannabis on a harness and extendable lead, he comes to the beach and the woods and he loves it. So much safer than risking letting him roam free and he enjoys being with us and even enjoys the car. He has a cat pack that he can sit in when he gets tired but he loves exploring. You need to start harness training on a kitten with a small harness without the lead. Let them get used to that and make sure putting it on is associated with a game or a treat. You only add the lead when the kitten is happy with the harness and you are actually going to go out, so the association with ‘out’ is consistent and clear from the beginning. Both our Norwegian Forest cats were happy outside on harnesses with leads.

When I was little my aunt (who was a big animal lover) used to Tony Gonsolin Cat Paws shirt take my sister and me plus a dog and a cat for a walk over the mountain in Taibach, Port Talbot, and then into the woods on many occasions. I’m in my 60s now but have fond memories of the cat following us on our walks. He just liked coming with us. We had two cats who walked on Rishworth moors with us & our two border collies.
One of the cats wandered off hunting, we were frantic with worry, it was getting dark so we returned home. Very early the next morning we retraced our steps and there was Whisky our cat sat on a gate waiting for us. We used to walk our cat in the lakeside in the Adderbury area near Salisbury with no collar on, he used to just follow us around, now he has sadly passed away but I am keen on teaching my new cats to how to be free and still choose to follow us around but I think Arlo is awesome as he is nearer dangerous places. Well, I guess I have learned how to love cats.
